Many books on Shri Krishna explore his characteristics, but mostly they are devotional in nature. This book takes a different approach, extracting Krishna’s traits directly from the Mahabharata and Bhagavata Purana.
Guided by jnana-yoga, the yoga of understanding and discernment, each chapter focuses on a unique trait drawn from sacred texts. Through careful reading and reflection, I have sought to encounter Krishna as he reveals himself in scripture—through his actions and strategies. In doing so, I feel I have captured something of Krishna, not merely as an object of worship, but as a living presence discernible through reason, insight, and scriptural truth.
