About this audiobook
Do "In God We Trust," the Declaration of Independence, and other historical "evidence" prove that America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles? Are the Ten Commandments the basis for American law? A constitutional attorney dives into the debate about religion's role in America's founding.
In today's contentious political climate, understanding religion's role in American government is more important than ever. Christian nationalists assert that our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and advocate an agenda based on this popular historical claim. But is this belief true? The Founding Myth answers the question once and for all. Andrew L. Seidel, a constitutional attorney at the Freedom from Religion Foundation, builds his case point by point, comparing the Ten Commandments to the Constitution and contrasting biblical doctrine with America's founding philosophy, showing that the Bible contradicts the Declaration of Independence's central tenets. Thoroughly researched, this persuasively argued and fascinating book proves that America was not built on the Bible and that Christian nationalism is, in fact, un-American.

Why does The Establishment Clause “Wall” between church and state only apply to Christianity is my question! Why does it not apply to Judaism-Islam in Public Law 102-14, U.N. Resolution 16/18 and Declaration of St. James Place U.N. Religious NGO Lucis Trust and Lucifer? Is Malevolent now better than Benevolent? There is no religious freedom in Noahide Laws as Christians are viewed as “Idol Worshippers” with punishment of beheading.

Every American, devout or not, should read this book to remind themselves of the motivations and values of America's founding fathers. I've often wondered what their reaction would be if they could travel through time to witness our stewardship of their sacrifice and efforts. If only we could have statesmen like those who made those sacrifices and efforts instead of the career politicians we are burdened with. If we truly appreciate our founders and all the rights and opportunities they bequeathed to us, we must expect and demand better of ourselves.

The narrator has a very calm in pleasant voice. Also this book was very educational. It has really helped to open my eyes to the truths that have been hidden from me in my religious upbringing.
