Night Shift: A Grumpy/Sunshine Workplace M/M Romance

The fear gets smaller than the love.

Ryan Brooks has spent twenty-four years pretending. A former high school basketball star living in his parents' basement, he has the perfect girlfriend, a steady job at Foot Locker, and a secret that is slowly eating him alive. He spends his nights sitting in his car in the mall parking deck, watching the loading dock door, waiting for a glimpse of the one thing he wants but can’t have.

Evan Cole is done with secrets. After being disowned by his family and burned by a closeted ex who left him for a woman, Evan has built a quiet, lonely life working the night shift at Bradford’s Department Store. He has his books, his writing, and a firm rule: never get involved with a man who isn't out.

But when Ryan stumbles into Evan’s loading dock one night, exhausted and desperate to be seen, Evan’s resolve begins to crack. What starts as tentative conversations in the break room turns into a passion that neither of them can control.

As their late-night connection deepens, Ryan must decide if he's brave enough to blow up the life he’s always known for the man he loves. And Evan must decide if he can trust Ryan enough to let him in, or if he’s destined to be a secret forever.

Night Shift is a steamy, emotional M/M romance featuring a nervous sunshine jock, a weary writer, found family, and the magic of the late-night shift. It is Book Two in The Closing Time Series but can be read as a standalone.
