Unearthing the Scriptures: : Exploring the Mysterious Gems of the Bible - 44 Manifestations of God : : Bible Gems to Remember Series 1

The book - Unearthing the Scriptures: Exploring the Mysterious Gems of the Bible -

44 Manifestations of God is about exploring the hidden gems or the mysterious gems of the bible. We will unfold these Bible Gems in this book and series of books in Bible Gems to Remember Series so that you can remember them and call them forth with ease in summarized format for reference and most importantly for life application and Godly living.

The wisdom and the understanding embedded in scripture that can be harnessed for life and godliness are spread across the entire bible. They require the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to be bring them to light. Jesus said in John 16:13 -

But when He the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him] and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].

The question from the above text now arises "If all truth as revealed in scripture or the bible as we know it today and everyone can and should understand them as we readily say then why should the Holy Spirit come to lead us into ALL TRUTH?"

Are we saying there are other truths beyond the written word? Or the Holy Spirit will cause us to go deeper granting wisdom and understanding in the hidden truth beyond the written word?

Let me give an example of a very interesting story Jesus shared to the crowed of followers and also to His disciples. The story was about a farmer who went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed some fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.

NON of them understood what this story was communicating.

In verse 18 to 23 He gives them the interpretation of what it means:

"Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it.

We can see from the above text that the word of God requires wisdom and understanding beyond the superficial.

The last example we have for you has to do with understanding of Scripture. Jesus travelled with the disciples after His resurrection on the way to Emmaus in Luke 24: 45 And He opened their understanding that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

Readers if these disciples needed to be enlightened by the help of the Holy Spirit we all need that enlightenment to gain insight to the hidden mysteries or gems of scripture in our day and age when the world have turned against God and everything about morality.

May you be blessed immensely as you travel with us through the scriptures from Genesis to Revelations in summarized format for ease of reference and application in Jesus mighty name Amen

Shalom!
