"Love, sex, family drama, the lot." John Self, The Irish Times Best Books
In Look At You, a young woman grows up between Trinidad, England, and Ireland, shaped by a divided family and the shifting worlds around her. Through a series of vivid, intimate moments, she begins to understand who she is — and where she belongs — in a world full of contradictions, cruelty, tenderness, and unexpected beauty.
Told with striking clarity and emotional precision, this is a novel of memory and the people who leave their mark on us. Each encounter — by turns funny, unsettling, and deeply moving — builds into a powerful portrait of becoming.
Brought to life in a nuanced, immersive performance by Hayley Atwell, this audiobook captures every shift of tone and feeling, drawing you into a story that unfolds as much in what is felt as in what is said.
Perfect for listeners who love vivid, character-driven storytelling, Look At You is an unforgettable listening experience — one to lose yourself in, and return to.
