Holden is doing his best to be a single father to Hunter and continue his business to provide for their future. He also is determined to do it all on his own and prove he can. When Hunter's teacher needs to meet with him his entire world is turned upside down. Autumn is a teacher and loves her job. She feels for Hunter and hopes to help with his lack of social skills. When she meets with his father she can't believe where things will go. Lacy Laurel and Gregory Salinas do a good job telling this story. They put the feelings in and I got a sense of them being these characters instead of just reading their chapters. I do think someone with a younger sounding voice might have been a better Autumn. I love Lacy's voice but she is suited better for older female characters instead of the 20 somethings. I received a complimentary copy to listen and review with my honest opinion. I enjoyed this audio. It is a solid 4 for me. I enjoyed the story.

It’s been ten years since Holden’s ex left him and their son Hunter when he was an infant. Since then his focus has been on his son and being successful professionally like she said he would never be. When his son’s teacher requests a meeting there is no way that he wouldn’t go. Autumn is Hunter’s teacher and she is concerned about his social skills with others in the class but as you would expect when she broaches the subject with Holden it didn’t go well. The next time they meet is on a blind date set up by their friends. Will they find out that they have more in common than they imagined or is the hostility of their first meeting too strong to overcome? I thought that the narrators did a good job of bringing the emotion of this story to life. I received a complimentary advanced audio copy of this book from the author as part of the ARC team, but my opinions are 100% my own.

Holden is a single father and a successful businessman; he has worked his keister off for the last ten years trying to raise both successfully. He did the best he could to head off any issues that would arise with Hunter- when an unforgiving teacher ( Autumn ) tells him Hunter is not doing well socially, undermining him and bringing up sore subjects- its on! What a whirwind this one is! A faboulously narrated getway- that had me all over the place! I received a complimentary advanced audio copy
