Human life is another name for an unending search. This search sometimes takes the form of a house, a car, wealth, and success; at other times, it becomes a longing for peace, God, or Freedom. Its forms may keep changing, but one thing remains unchanged: the search does not end, and the seeker remains. Kabir Saheb’s timeless bhajan *“Moko Kahan Dhoondhe Re Bande, Main To Tere Paas Mein”* strikes directly at the centre of this restless seeker. To us, it appears as a fact that something is lacking in life, and that this lack can be filled only by the external objects of the world. Because of this belief, we keep searching in objects, relationships, pilgrimages, idols, spiritual practices, and even in the name of religion for what can never be found there. The problem does not lie in external means, but in the beliefs settled within us, which keep us away from our own nearest Truth. In this book, through a detailed exposition of the bhajan, Acharya Prashant shows that Truth and belief cannot go together. This exposition gives the reader the vision to examine one’s own inner stories and the darkness within, which has kept the search alive until now. This book opens a living possibility of understanding the “I” at the heart of *“Main To Tere Paas Mein”*—the “I” that remains near, yet goes unseen.
