I remembered the Yousician brand back when trying to learn piano, so I thought "why not?" for the ukulele. Sadly, I was thoroughly misled when downloading & starting this app. When you start it advertises that without premium you won't be able to play songs, not that it would impact what you can learn. However, it lies and limits what you can learn as well, making the app useless without paying for premium. I'd rather learn for free via YouTube videos, or actually pay for something legit.

I used to have this app a few years ago before it had a premium option. I re-downloaded it because I wanted to get back into playing and need a refresh. It used to be so much better before and you could make huge progress for free. Now you only get the learn 2 notes before the pay wall. The design is great, it works amazing and I did learn a lot when I used it before they added a premium version, but now it's borderline unusable. I'd rather pay for lessons than for an app.

The app doesn't register sound so when you play along sometimes it picks a note, moat of the time it doesn't. In the tuning, and cord check it registers but not when playing along with songs. I think the app is way over priced for what you get as well. I reached put to Yousician for support but they never responded to my request. instead I get notifications to respond.... to nothing! because they never responded to my initial request for support!
