It is a preview tool. It is not a film scanner and it is not a replacement for professional scanning or lab work. What it gives you is a quick, readable look at the pictures your own negatives are holding — enough to see what is there, to sort through a strip, or to decide which frames are worth having properly scanned.
HOW TO USE IT:
Display a plain white screen on anything that lights up: a computer monitor, a tablet, or a second phone running Negative Reveal. Lay the developed negative flat on the glass, hold your phone above it, and fill the capture frame with the film. Take the picture and SilverReveal converts it.
It works best in a dim room, with the screen bright and the negative pressed flat. Keep your own shadow and any reflections off the film.
See what is on your developed film negatives. A preview, not a film scanner.
