DW is a solid source of decent journalism. The app though is a dumpster fire. It crashes all the time, you can't access the privacy settings, there are rendering errors, it's just plain very bad. UPDATE: dropping rating to 1 Star. The crashes haven't been fixed in years. The app is nearly unusable.

App is good when it works but it's unstable and typically fails to load. I must restart the app 5 times to get it to load properly. This is not affected by my VPN, mobile signal, or wifi and the issue is likely security settings by the app designers.

It's such a shame that the experience of great content is destroyed by the constant crashing of the app. The app does not respond to any basic phone commands such as volume or back button. The app freezes constantly, and the message appears DW is not responding. Do you want to close the app or wait. Unfortunately, the app in its current form is useless on my Samsung S21 5G android (version 15) phone.
