About this app

Force 4G LTE Only: 5G Switcher lets you choose the network mode your phone uses. If 5G keeps dropping or draining your battery, switch to 4G LTE only in a few taps. You can also switch between 5G, 4G, 3G and 2G, run an internet speed test, check signal strength on both SIMs and monitor your data usage.

★ 4G LTE Switcher and 5G Switch
Open your phone's network mode settings and force 4G LTE only, or switch back to 5G whenever you want. Use the 3G 4G 5G switcher to pick the most stable network for calls, browsing and streaming. 2G and 3G modes are available on phones and carriers that still support them.

★ Internet Speed Test for WiFi and Mobile Data
Run a fast speed test on WiFi or mobile data. See download speed, upload speed and ping, then compare 4G network speed with 5G network speed. Every test is saved in your speed test history so you can see how your connection changes over time.

★ Data Usage Monitor
Monitor mobile data and WiFi usage in one place. See how much 4G data and 5G data you have used and stay in control of your data plan.

★ Dual SIM Signal Strength
Check live signal strength for each SIM card. Find out which SIM gives you the strongest 4G LTE signal before you make a call or start a download.

★ SIM and Network Info
View carrier name, SIM details, network type and LTE status. Useful when you want to know whether your phone is connected to LTE, 5G or an older network.

★ WiFi Status and WiFi Signal
Check your WiFi connection, WiFi signal strength and network details, and test WiFi speed in the same app.

Why people use this 4G LTE app

Works for me. Actually, it works extremely well for me. When I could not get 4G LTE on my new S26, I contacted both ATT, and Samsung. I literally spent 3 hours between these calls to these 2 tech departments. And I came away with being told that it cannot be done. Then I tried this wonderful app, and although I had no idea what I was doing, Igot it right the first time, and now I have 4G LTE and I have not had any problems whatsoever. Thank you for a wonderful app.

hey, I installed this app on my Moto G play (2026) because I really, really don't want 5G. I have a couple of questions though. first, does it default LTE, or do I have to select it using the "switch access" feature? If I need to select the preference manually I may have a problem. I see where the preference option is, but the 🔻 button is greyed out, and pressing it does nothing, meaning I can't manually switch. Am I missing something, or does my phone bar toggling network bands?

Hi Jakob 👋 On the Moto G Play 2026, network-mode options may be restricted by the carrier or phone. If LTE is greyed out in the app, manual switching may be blocked. Please check **Settings → Network & internet → Mobile network → Preferred network type** for an LTE option. 📶
