About this app

Stop throwing away food you forgot about. InvenDo is a home inventory app for your kitchen and the rest of the house: it keeps track of what you have, where it is stored and when it expires, and reminds you in time.

Scan a barcode or type a name, put the item in a storage place (fridge, freezer, pantry, garage, bathroom cabinet), and you always know what is in the house without going to look.

STOP THROWING FOOD AWAY
- Nothing spoils at the back of the fridge again: give an item an expiry date and it is flagged as Expires soon, then Already expired
- A reminder arrives at the time of day you choose, so you use things while they are still good
- Opened a jar or a pack? Mark it opened, and InvenDo sets a Consume by date from the shelf life you enter once, then remembers it for next time

NEVER RUN OUT OF WHAT YOU ALWAYS NEED
- Coffee, diapers, cat food: set a Minimum quantity and InvenDo tells you before the last one is gone
- Everything below its minimum sits on one screen, ready to go onto the shopping list
- Set the minimum for a whole category, not just item by item

BUY ONLY WHAT IS MISSING
- A shopping list built from what your pantry actually lacks, instead of from memory
- Group the list by store, so one trip covers one shop
- Check things off in the aisle, then move what you bought straight into your inventory
- Send the grocery list to whoever is going out, as plain text

ADD THINGS IN SECONDS
- Scan a barcode to add an item, scan again to take one away
- A scanned barcode can fill in the product name and photo for you (available in many countries, not all)
- Start typing and InvenDo suggests things you have had before

FIND ANYTHING WITHOUT SEARCHING THE HOUSE
- Storage places inside storage places: the freezer, then the top drawer
- Categories with colors, and subcategories when you need them
- Photos of your items and your storage places, and an icon for each storage place
- Unit sizes that add up for you: 1 pack = 6 pcs, or 1 pack = 250 g, with the total on hand
- Search your whole home inventory by name or by voice

KEEP THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD IN SYNC
- Invite your partner, children or roommates by email, and everyone sees the same list as it changes
- Keep several lists (home, parents' house, a hobby collection) and choose who sees which
- People you invite get the paid features on your shared list at no extra cost
- Works offline, syncs when you are back online
- Check the shopping list off from an Android home screen widget, or open your inventory in a browser at web.invendo.app
- Export to Excel whenever you like, or import a spreadsheet you already keep

WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who wants a pantry inventory that is actually up to date. Food in the fridge, freezer and pantry. Medicines and their shelf life. Cosmetics. Clothes you forget you own. Tools in the garage. Hobby collections. Wine, spices, camping gear, baby supplies, printer cartridges. It is built for a household rather than a business, and it is simple enough that the rest of the family will actually use it.

NO ADS, AND A GENEROUS FREE VERSION
The inventory, storage places, categories, the shopping list, barcode scanning, expiry and low-quantity reminders, Excel export, sharing the list, the widget and sync across devices are all free, and there are no ads anywhere in the app. Premium adds photos, storage icons, Excel import, deeper subcategories, extra lists, inviting other people, filling the shopping list from low-quantity items in one tap, and the web app. Take it monthly, yearly, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase: pay once and use it forever.

This app is everything I've been looking for! MULTIPLE CATEGORIES and sub-categories! Locations and sub-locations! All created & customized by me. I can show "Quantity: 0" without deleting the item. Or the opposite, I can mark an item "Need To Buy" which puts it on the shopping list, even if it's not out of stock yet! And then I can sort the shopping list by store. I use the item description for multiple tags since the search bar finds both names and descriptions. This app deserves 6/5 stars!

Great Application! I no longer have to open up the fridge/freezer going "What do I have?". You can also make a shopping list right in the app based on your personal inventory of what's low or out! This will be fantastic for my Autism and ADHD because if its not visible my brain thinks I don't have it and need to buy it!

As long as I can convince the family to keep using it, it's going to be great. The app itself is great. Easy to add, easy to subtract. Adding the expiration dates is huge, had the kids help scan the pantry, found a couple items expired, showed them how to scan out. Getting the wife to do it will be the real challenge. Suggestion: Have pre built categories. Have an option to auto categorize based on the product information, if someone doesn't want to use it then they can create their own.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! We love hearing that even the kids joined the pantry scan 😊 Expiration tracking was built exactly for moments like this. Your ideas about smart auto-categories and preset groups are excellent — we’ve noted them for future improvements!
