Less scrolling. More room for your day.
BrainUnrot helps you understand your screen time, count the reels you watch and set boundaries around distracting apps. When a quick scroll turns into a lost hour, give yourself a view of where your attention goes and a way to pause.
If brain rot is your shorthand for too much short-form content, start with awareness. See your activity, choose a limit and make space for studying, work, rest or time away from your phone. Brain unrot starts with small choices you can repeat.
⏱ See your screen time clearly
Your dashboard brings together today's screen time, reel count and most-used apps. Explore app usage and weekly summaries to understand your patterns. Use the numbers to decide which distractions deserve a boundary, instead of guessing where the day went.
Count reels and short videos
Track supported short-form video activity across Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, TikTok and Snapchat Spotlight. See how many videos you have watched and how much time you have spent watching. Review your reel history and notice when a short break becomes a long scrolling session.
Keep your counter in sight
The floating counter stays visible over supported scrolling screens. Choose a reel count, a watch-time timer or both, so you can check your progress without returning to the dashboard. A visible reminder helps you make a deliberate choice about the next swipe.
⏳ Put a boundary on scrolling
Choose a daily reel allowance and a lock duration. When your configured limit is reached, BrainUnrot can interrupt access to supported short-form content. Set a boundary that fits your day, whether you want shorter breaks or fewer late-night scrolling sessions.
Block distracting apps your way
Set app timers, launch limits and allowed active periods. Limit how long you spend in an app, how often you open it or when it is available. Keep different rules for different distractions, with controls you can review from the limits screen.
Share limits across app groups
Switching between apps can make individual timers easier to work around. Create an app group and give it a shared timer or schedule. Manage a group of distractions together, so moving to another app does not mean starting a separate allowance.
Make space for focused sessions
Choose the apps you want to pause, pick a session duration and swipe to start focus mode. Use focus profiles for different routines, such as studying or working. Review your session history and make a little space for one task at a time.
✨ A friendly view of your progress
Your brain mascot changes with the app's activity-based score, making your dashboard easy to recognize at a glance. It is a playful reflection of usage patterns, not a medical assessment of brain health. There is no perfect score to chase: use the feedback to choose what works for you.
Built around your choices
Start with one distracting app or a reel limit, then adjust your setup as your routine changes. BrainUnrot combines a screen time tracker, reels counter, app blocker and focus timer in one app. You choose which boundaries to use and which apps they apply to. No account creation is needed.
Permissions and privacy
Usage Access provides app usage statistics. Accessibility Service detects supported short-form screens and enforces the limits you choose. Display-over-other-apps permission supports the floating counter and blocking screens. Android may also request notification or background-running permissions for active features.
Detected app names and screen elements are processed on your device. BrainUnrot does not capture screenshots or collect private messages. Firebase and Meta SDKs collect analytics and technical information; see the privacy policy and Data safety section for details.
Detection and blocking depend on permissions, device settings and supported app versions. BrainUnrot is independently developed by AppGen Labs and is not affiliated with the social platforms mentioned above.
