Hide And Paint!

Hide And Paint! is an online multiplayer hide-and-seek game with a twist. You
do not just find a corner and wait. You paint your character to match the world
around you, then stand there and hope nobody looks twice.

Each round splits everyone into hiders and hunters. Hiders get a head start to
pick a spot and get to work: choose a colour, use the eyedropper to sample the
exact shade of the wall behind you, pick a pose, and hold still. Then the
hunters are let loose.

Hiding out of sight is not the point

Hiders only score while a hunter can actually see them. Wedging yourself into a
dark corner will keep you alive, but it will not win you anything. The real
play is to stand out in the open, painted like a wall, a crate or a patch of
floor, and let a hunter walk straight past you.

Feeling brave? Taunt. It gives your position away and multiplies your score for
as long as your nerve holds.

Game modes

- Classic: hiders blend in, hunters search before the clock runs out.
- Infection: every hider who gets caught switches sides, so the hunt grows as
the round goes on.
- Double: everyone hides first, then everyone becomes a hunter at once.

Maps

Five maps are included: a timbered fantasy town, a castle keep at sunset, a
retro city depot, a crossroads that mixes all three, and an open arena. More
maps are planned as free downloads that you can add from the in-game Maps
screen, without waiting for an app update.

Playing together

- Online rooms for 2 to 12 players, 8 by default.
- Proximity voice chat with push to talk. Voices fade with distance, so
whispering near someone's hiding spot genuinely matters.
- Text chat in the lobby and during a round.
- Adjustable hide and hunt timers, set by whoever owns the room.
- Touch controls built for phones.

Early access

This is an early access release. The game is playable and online now, but there
are rough edges, and things will change based on what players actually run
into. If something breaks or feels wrong, telling us is genuinely useful at
this stage.

No ads, no purchases, no account

- No advertisements.
- No in-app purchases.
- No sign-up, no email, no login. Pick a name and play.

Before you install

- An internet connection is required. There is no offline or single-player
mode.
- A round needs at least two players, so bring a friend or join a room that
already has someone in it.
- Microphone permission is optional and is only used for push-to-talk voice
chat. The game is fully playable if you deny it.
