Christmas Bauble Watch Face

A festive Christmas watch face for Wear OS. A big glossy glass bauble hangs on a golden thread from a real fir tree, lit by warm fairy lights. The whole dial is the bauble: its glass reflects the cosy room around it, and the hands turn right over its centre.

Hand-painted in gold
Gold-glitter stars mark the hours on the glass, with 12, 3, 6 and 9 hand-painted in raised gold glitter paint. The slim polished gold hands carry a small star at their tips and a dark outline, so they read on every colour of glass.

It swings every hour
As the hour turns, the bauble swings on its thread and a burst of gold glitter flies out from it.

Little baubles for your widgets
Steps, battery and unread notifications hang on the tree as three small frosted baubles, and the date is written on a kraft gift tag tied on red-and-white twine. Remove a widget and its little bauble goes away. Put another app's complication there and it shows that app's icon.

Easy on the battery
The bauble moves only on a tap and on the hour; at rest nothing moves, and the seconds hand is off unless you turn it on. Always-on shows only the painted hours, the date and the hands, dim on black.
