Ureztatu: Crop Water

Know when your field needs water, how much to apply, and what changed the answer.

Ureztatu is a crop-water planning instrument for growers who need a practical daily decision without a connected irrigation system. It combines live weather with the details that make each field different: crop, growth stage, soil type, rooting depth, field area, irrigation method, flow rate, and daily capacity.

Search for a town, district, or village, then describe the field. Choose from common crops and soil types, set the crop stage, and record the irrigation system's real limits. Ureztatu uses the selected place rather than requesting your phone's location.

The Water Board turns forecast reference evapotranspiration, crop coefficients, effective rain, root-zone capacity, and starting moisture into a direct action: irrigate or wait. It shows crop use, usable rain, modeled depletion, and a root-zone cross-section so the recommendation is understandable instead of mysterious.

The Seven-Day Plan respects the field's maximum daily application. It schedules water when modeled depletion reaches the crop's working limit, carries root-zone balance forward, and estimates both water volume and runtime. Rain probability and expected rain stay visible beside each day.

Plan Lab runs dry, likely, and wet forecast scenarios through the same deterministic planner. Compare total irrigation and end-of-week root-zone condition to see whether a decision is robust or especially sensitive to forecast rain.

Record actual irrigation by date, depth, and note. The log converts depth into field volume, keeps recent work easy to review, and lets you remove mistaken entries. Records remain on this device.

Live updates come from Open-Meteo. A successful response is cached locally, so the last known plan remains available when the network drops. Background refresh can keep the cache current, while optional local reminders can surface the day's plan.

Ureztatu is a decision-support tool, not a guarantee of crop outcome. Check the field, obey water restrictions, and adjust for local agronomy, irrigation uniformity, pests, drainage, and conditions the model cannot observe.
